I installed the virtuemart slideshow.

When running it it crashes with the message:

Hi ralphger,

Please kindly check cache folder's permission. Could you set permission to 777 if it isn't.
If system still crash and these errors still appear, please send me ftp and admin access to help you fix them.

I already tried to change the permission. But I am not able to change it to 777 Permission denied it says. It stays on 755.
Any idea how to fix this??

It is from your server. with some servers, you can use 755 only but for your server, you need to change to 777. If you think this folder will be dangerous, please add .htaccess in this folder

I am sorry but I do not understand.
When trying to change cmod to 777 using e.g. filezilla, I get the message "permission denied". Cmod stays on 755.

Is there another method to change it to 777? Or is there another method to make the slideshow running?
