Please open the yt_template.class.php file in "your_site/templates/smart_news17 (smart_news25)/includes", finding:

echo "<span class=\"date\">".date('D jS\, M Y')."</span> -- <span class=\"gmdate\">Updated ".gmdate("h:i:s A", $sec+$tz)." GMT</span>";


change to:

echo "<span class=\"date\">".date('D jS\, M Y')."</span>";
