I cann't resize image. What can I do for this?

I'm also having an issue with this feature, I can't seem to make the image box smaller.

I try to enter a specific height and width but it stays the same and when I select a "Resize Mode" the image resizes but the surrounding box stays the same and the image becomes distorted.
