TOPIC: Empty module on the frontend

Empty module on the frontend 11 years, 5 months ago #10644

Hello,

First of all, congrats for your great work and your great support! I already fixed some troubles with your forum.

It's my second post today.
I was having troubles to connect to the demo site. I thought it was ok but apparently i still have troubles to connect.

I'm building my first site with your sj plus template! And i have to say that i really appraciate to work with it. It's pretty easy to use and the different configurations are just great.

Anyaway... My question will maybe seem to be stupid but i had to ask you if something is wrong or not.

Since the installation of the template, i have an empty module on the frontend of my site. I thought it was normal and that it will be use by a module position.
So i began to built my site and since the beginning it doesn't disappear.

The only way to put content inside is by using the breadcrumb position which normally doesn't exist for sj plus template.
And when i'm using this module position, my content is shown but the size of the module is unbalanced.
I also have a strange blue color coming inside the content.

Just check the two images below.

So how to put correctly content inside or simply how to make it disappear?

Thanks in advance for your help and support.

Dear Frederic Petit,

you can refer positions of module at demo.smartaddons.com/templates/joomla3/sj-plus/images/position.jpg, it will set width for your module automatically.

Thanks

I'm really sorry if i insist but i don't know if you understood exactly my question.
I was already refering to the modules position from your site to built mine.

It's just that i don't find a way to put something in this particular module which is there since the beginning.

On your site, you also have a module without any module position. The one with the image of game cards.

It's maybe something really easy to do but as i told you, i was using of course the different module positions to built my site.

I really don't know what to do. I tried every module positions and nothing works to fix that.

Thank you to let me know...

Dear Frederic Petit,

If you use SJ Plus, there are all positions you can put your modules (demo.smartaddons.com/templates/joomla3/sj-plus/images/position.jpg). If you want add more other positions, you have add to layout file that you config in Template Manager. It's in yoursite/templates/sj_plus/layout and you have to customize css.

Thanks

Hello,
Another time, thanks for your answer and sorry if i didn't answer as fast as you did but i was on a trip for several days.

Anyway, i know i'm not a specialist but i think i got it. I understand all about module positions for sj plus, at least i hope so.

I'm probably stupid but sorry to insist.

This empty module without any position is in fact the main content block. Am i right? I was able to remove it in the options of the template. So the block disappeard but the empty space was still there.
So sorry, its maybe stupid of me but how to put content in this block as there is no module position for it?
If someone can help me, it would be so great! I have everything perfectly done and that's my ladt step to have something nice.

Thanks in advance.
