Hello,

I'm developing a site with Joomla 3.1 using SJ Plus Template. Menu type in template settings is set as mega menu. I have two questions about it:

1) There are 3 positions (mega1, mega2, mega3) in the menu. Is it possible to add more positions like mega4, mega5, etc.

2) How can I customize the headers in those positions, for example; background color of header for mega1 position would be black, for mega2 red, etc.

Thanks.

Dear Murat Arpat,

SJ Plus template haven't 3 positions (mega1, mega2, mega3). Please check it again: demo.smartaddons.com/templates/joomla3/sj-plus/images/position.jpg

Thanks

Dear SA Thuy,

I think I did not make my question clear enough. By 3 positions what I mean is that there are 3 mega menu positions in quickstart package. These positions are for mega menu only and correspond to columns in mega menu as I understand. So, if I adjust mega menu to use 5 columns how can I place content in those extra 2 columns (i.e. mega4, mega5).

And any ideas for my question #2 in original post.

Thanks.

Hy,

i do use other template, but i guess mega-menu is the same. I did also spend some time to find out ...

how to proceed:
in the respective menu go to "advanced options"
down in YT Menu params you can set the number of column you want to display the submenus
adjust full menu width and the single columns widh

if you select 5 columns, the 5 submenus will be displayed each in 1 column.

Hope this helps you

Dear Murat Arpat,

1. If you want to show 5 column in megamenu, you can configure in 'YT Menu Params for this Menu Item' tab.
Example, in our demo, sub-menus of 'Resources' display in 3 column.
If you want display 5 column, please go to 'Resources' and config Advanced Options->'YT Menu Params for this Menu Item' -> set: Number of Columns: 5 , Content Width (px): 1250px, Column Width (px): 250,250,350,200,200
Then create 2 menu items is sub menus of Resources, in every menu, you can load a module or positions in 'YT Menu Params for this Menu Item' => Mega Content Type

2) How can I customize the headers in those positions, for example; background color of header for mega1 position would be black, for mega2 red, etc.
Megamenu don't support change background color in every menu header.

Thanks

Hi.
This topic helps me a lot, but i have other question.
I want to display 1 menu item with 2 columns, the first column with 200px, and the second with 400 px.
On that second column(400px), i want 2 columns with 200px each, but they do not stay like columns, they stay in different rows.
I send a image to make me more clear.
And after this all, i want to put sub-item associated to them.

Thank you.
