there`s one more question about positions and layouts.
If I switch to other templates, sometimes I can`t get module drawn in any position t all. Is there a general rule what fields or even templates are suitable? I`ve been trying Ja Elastica BTW.

Please check position by go to: yoursite/?tp=1, then choose position of your module is one of them.

Hmm.. I`ve tried the layout view. There might be flaw in template or my brain, but overlays names do not map onto positions I see in module placement section.
Other observation: Empty block "position-5" appears in this view. I tried to assign it to SJ categories for K2 but it doesn`t get drawn.

Are there any limitations for module positioning? Why it didn`t work in position-12 for example?

Cause is structure of your template , so you should contact with your template provider to get supports.

yes, it is possible. So you say that there are no restrictions on the module, for example, minimum layout width, or anything? Even if module isn`t visible in position-12 of default template provided with Joomla, its still a template issue?
