TOPIC: Empty module on the frontend

Re: Empty module on the frontend 11 years, 4 months ago #10876

Little UP if you have two minutes for me!

Its maybe a basic thing...

So in the template/general we can choose to hide or show component. When i hide the component, the block disappear but the place is still there. If i show it, the block is empty. How to put something in this block if there is no module posittion assigned for this one?

Thanks and thank you for your patience. I'm learning by myself.

Dear Frederic Petit,

Could you please send your url to me? If you hide Block content, the block disappear but the place is still there. It's right. If i show it, the block is empty, please check your 'home' menu, do you assign to articles or categories, maybe there aren't any articles?

How to put something in this block if there is no module posittion assigned for this one?
It will display articles or content when 'home' menu assign to.

Thanks

Thanks a lot for your help!
I'm working on wampserver so i can't send you any url.
I know it would be easier if you had a link but i can't.

I'm really sorry to annoy you with this little problem!

I'm sure its something very easy to fix but i didn't really understand what you explained to me...
I'm a kind of newbie...

I know its possible to assign modules but as its not a module but a content block, i don't really know what option i need to change because i can only assign modules i created myself on the site.
So when you said assign articles or categories, i don't get it.

I have of course articles, blog articles and categories.

So sorry to take your time with this.

Dear Frederic Petit,

If you want put some module into Block content, you can assign a article. In the article, you can load module position in there.

Thanks
